Privacy Policy

MapPalette (mappalette.com) is a free online map maker. This page explains what data is involved when you use the site.

What we collect

MapPalette does not require an account and does not itself collect, store or sell any personal information. The maps you color are processed entirely in your browser.

Data stored on your device

Your map colors, legend labels and settings may be saved in your browser's local storage so your work isn't lost when you reload the page. This data never leaves your device, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data or using the Reset button on a map page.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Optional map imagery

If you switch a map to the Satellite, Streets or Terrain layer, the imagery tiles are loaded from Esri's ArcGIS servers, which receive the technical request data needed to serve them (such as your IP address). See the Esri privacy statement. The default Classic style loads no third-party resources.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. The following disclosures apply:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites on the internet.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info (or www.youronlinechoices.com in the EU).
